Job Type: 13-Week Contract | Part Time (2435 hours/week)

Were seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to provide part-time coverage for a 13-week contract at a specialty infusion pharmacy in Birmingham, AL . This role covers a leave of absence beginning at the end of the year, with consistent weekday hours in a collaborative, patient-focused setting.

Schedule & Details:

• Start Date: December 30

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Hours: 2435 per week

• MondayFriday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

• On-site position (no remote work)

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and interpret prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness

• Oversee pharmacy technician activities and ensure pliance with all regulations

• Provide patient counseling on specialty medications and therapies

• Monitor drug therapies and remend clinical interventions when appropriate

• Support prescription management and documentation in accordance with pany and state guidelines

• Collaborate with internal teams including Intake, Nursing, Quality, and Reimbursement to ensure continuity of care

• Maintain pliance with all applicable regulatory standards (FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC, HIPAA, and State Board of Pharmacy)

Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist Licenses in Alabama and Tennessee both required

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BSPharm or PharmD) required

• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty, infusion, retail, or hospital pharmacy required

• Working knowledge of specialty medication management and therapy qualifications

• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

• Proficiency with CareTend (CPR+) preferred

• Excellent munication, teamwork, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in specialty or infusion pharmacy operations

• Knowledge of USP standards and payer contract requirements for specialty therapies

• Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP)

Software:

• CareTend (CPR+ upgrade)
