This onsite position offers valuable experience as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist, working with a caseload of approximately 60 students. You'll play a crucial role collaborating with educators and families, enhancing students' communication abilities, and making a positive impact throughout the school community.

Qualifications & Required Experience:

• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current Professional Educator Alabama SLP Certification (verify via state website)
• Previous experience in school-based speech therapy, ideally with itinerant or multi-site roles
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services onsite across Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate Schools (37.5 hours weekly)
• Manage an itinerant caseload of approximately 60 students, addressing diverse communication needs
• Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP teams
• Document progress and maintain compliance with all state and district reporting requirements
• Collaborate with special education staff to ensure tailored interventions and student support plans
• Travel between the three assigned campuses as scheduled
