Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position, spanning 37.5 hours per week from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offers an engaging and rewarding environment near Shelby, AL. You’ll focus on delivering high-quality speech and language services within a single elementary school, making a significant impact in a vibrant educational community.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license with CCC or CFY eligibility
- Previous experience working in schools, pediatrics, or related healthcare settings
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide tailored therapy to elementary-aged students
- Design, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with faculty and families
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of student progress
- Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Deliver therapy sessions one-on-one or in small groups, adapting interventions to meet diverse learning needs
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current on best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
