As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Huntsville, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in an aero/defense location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access control, and supporting badge and entry processes. This role combines customer service, communication, and computer-based tasks while helping promote a professional environment. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to an important security-related presence.

Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with site contacts regarding entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, and support front desk operations by directing guests, receiving deliveries, and sharing site information in accordance with established protocols.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions by maintaining a visible presence at the reception area and observing lobby activity within an aerospace and defense location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
