Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant – Dog Resort

Location: Daphne, AL or Fairhope, AL

Full-Time | 40+ hours per week | In-person

About The Dog Ranch Resort

The Dog Ranch Resort is Lower Alabama’s premier destination for dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. Our mission is simple — to give every dog the same love and care they get at home.

We’re looking for a Front Desk Receptionist / Administrative Assistant who loves both people and pups, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a friendly, growing team.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers (and their dogs!) with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Manage phones, texts, emails, and messages — no two conversations are the same!
• Schedule daycare, grooming, and boarding appointments.
• Check dogs in/out and collect payments.
• Coordinate with our Ranch Hand, Grooming, and Training teams.
• Keep the lobby and reception area clean and welcoming.
• Help with administrative tasks like filing, data entry, reports, and light bookkeeping.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 1 year of front desk or customer service experience .
• Comfort working around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organization skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and POS systems (QuickBooks, Gingr, etc.).
• A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Experience in animal care or the pet service industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in office administration.

Schedule

Full-time, rotating schedule (including weekends and holidays).
