IN2WORK Coordinator
Job Description
IN2WORK (I2W) is a vocational training program opportunity for people who are currently incarcerated. The IN2WORK program aims to help reduce recidivism by providing students with the opportunity to learn transferable, foundational food service and warehouse job skills through a comprehensive curriculum requiring classroom and hands-on training. Students receive a nationally recognized certification upon completion of the program, a key differentiator when looking for employment after release.
The main purpose of IN2WORK is to teach students how to function in a workplace setting and work as a team, leading to an increase in public safety and a decrease in future victimization. Students learn accountability and responsibility through disciplined classroom and hands-on training. By building competent and confident graduates, I2W set students up for success upon reentry. Assist in leading the implementation of IN2WORK across the corrections line of business, orientate new I2W instructors to meet program KPI’s year over year. Track and report program progress to I2W support team. Support I2W graduates as reentry, scholarship, and employment opportunities (pre & post release) resource. Provide support for food & warehouse programming, and/or commissary and warehousing operations at the component level.
Specific duties include:
- Partner with operations to implement new and align existing programs with overall goals.
- Facilitate orientation and initial training for program instructors and support ongoing instructor team development.
- Support the implementation, and continuation of the program per facility/district.
- Partner with I2W team to remain current on progression of the I2W program, attend weekly/monthly DM meetings in the east and the monthly west call.
- Onsite and virtual training session of IN2WORK Warehouse course & RISE Up/OSHA 10 General Industry certification.
- Manage and maintain the monthly I2W materials inventory.
- Assist to maintain database of I2W graduates all locations.
- Support and work with community groups to educate them on I2W to help graduates find employment opportunities upon release.

Qualifications

- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals.
- Proven proficiency with the following computer applications: Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint; Smartsheet, a plus.
