We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including double entry bookkeeping, job costing, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording all transactions in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare journal entries to reflect business transactions accurately.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
• Utilize Sage software for effective record-keeping and reporting.
• Conduct regular audits of financial documents to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for accurate bookkeeping.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP bookkeeping principles.
• Proficiency in financial software, particularly Sage, is preferred.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and tax regulations is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
