THE INS AND OUTS OF THIS LABOR ROLE

As our full-time General Laborer, you'll be essential in supporting our scrap yard operations and ensuring the efficient processing of metals. Your primary responsibilities will involve aiding customers in unloading and inspecting scrap metal, sorting and preparing material for processing, operating tools and equipment for general upkeep and material movement, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This is a physically active role, and your efforts will significantly impact the efficient movement and recycling of materials through the yard!

Here's what we need from you:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working in a construction or general labor position
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to work outside in all weather conditions and wear all necessary PPE
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Physical ability to work on uneven surfaces, stand/walk for extended periods, climb ladders, crouch, bend, reach overhead, and perform repetitive actions
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and be self-motivated
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with great attention to detail

Having knowledge of metals and being forklift certified are preferred but not required!
