Social Worker - LCSW - Mental Health Clinic

**Core Duties:**

- Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and governmental agencies for services.

- Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members, formulating and implementing a treatment plan that identifies the patient’s problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping abilities, and required assistance, in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary treatment team.

- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to a diverse array of individuals representing various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational, and other backgrounds.

- Utilize medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures, encompassing acute, chronic, and traumatic illnesses and injuries, common medications and their effects, and related medical terminology.

- Implement various treatment modalities when working with individuals, families, and groups experiencing a range of psychiatric, medical, and social challenges to achieve established treatment goals.

- Provide independent counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families, ensuring practice remains within the boundaries of licensure or certification.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- 

**Degree/Education:** Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from a School of Social Work that is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). - 

**Experience:** A minimum of two (2) years of experience within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of clinical social work with adults in an outpatient clinical setting. -

 **Licensure:** A current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. - **Life Support Certification

:** Current certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from the American Red Cross (ARC) or the American Heart Association (AHA). - 

**Security:** The ability to successfully pass a Government background check and obtain security clearance.
