Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students through resource and inclusion services. This position is based in Gadsden, Alabama, for the upcoming school year contract.
Qualifications:
- Alabama Certified Special Educator credential required
- Experience working with middle school students preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload focused on resource and inclusion services
- Comfortable supporting students without severe behavioral or disability challenges
Position Details:
- Location: Gadsden, AL
- School Level: Middle School
- Contract Duration: August 4, 2025, to May 22, 2026
- Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Caseload: Middle school resource and inclusion students
- Pay Rate: $32 to $38 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to middle school learners within resource and inclusion settings
- Collaborate with general education staff to support student success in inclusive environments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with student needs and state guidelines
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
- Maintain compliance with all applicable educational policies and regulations
