Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely reporting of balance sheet and income statement line items, for both internal and external stakeholders. This individual will manage key processes including preparing general ledger account reconciliations all the way through completion of supporting schedules for financial statement disclosure. Additionally, the role involves liaising with internal stakeholders and business leaders within the organization. This candidate must be focused, intelligent, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time. **In this role you will...** + Review contracts with partners to determine proper accounting including referral, reseller, co-selling, and royalty arrangements + Liaise with internal sales and partnerships teams to identify new contracts and understand economics of agreements with partners + Build internal processes to ensure statements are issued accurately and timely to partners; coordinate with accounts payable to ensure payments are made timely to partners in accordance with contractual obligations + Manage the monthly close processes for partners, review monthly close reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate closing of the books for internal and external reporting + Maintain systems and procedures to comply with internal control requirements; Initiate corrective actions as necessary + Initiate, improve, and create efficiencies in systems and procedures + Analyze and synthesize trends in data and information to identify risks and requirements for additional processes and procedures + Maintain great relationships with business partners and accounting peers to address accounting and reporting needs + Foster an environment of high-quality work, team collaboration and continuous improvement + Ability to manage team members remotely between our different offices + Other accounting related duties, as required **You've got what it takes if you have...** + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience + 4+ years of relevant accounting experience + Proven experience leading a team under pressure to meet deadlinescombined with the ability to communicate the "big picture" + High attention to detail and accuracy + Exceptional communication skills are required to interact upward and cross-functionally + Ability to coach and develop staff through close procedures and fostering teamwork + Consideration for privacy and security obligations **Extra Dose of Awesomeness if you have...** + CPA or equivalent designation + Experience with business combinations and integrations + Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud + Experience with Enterprise SaaS business models + Interest in understanding how IT systems and workflows are designed Equal Employment Opportunity has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental commitment at Cornerstone OnDemand.
