Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Administrative Coordinator to the Department of Physical Therapy. The selected individual will perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining files; answer inquiries and obtain information for students, visitors, faculty and staff. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month position.
Summary of Duties:
- Serve as a liaison between the PT Department and students, faculty, staff and other University offices
- Receive and refer telephone calls, visitors and electronic inquiries to the appropriate individual(s)
- Maintain database of current students and graduates; filing system for department records
- Record, archive and distribute the minutes from department meetings
- Maintain records of work, absences and annual leave of departmental personnel
- Utilize program and profession specific software applications
- Supervise student workers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of office/clerical experience required
- Healthcare office/clerical experience preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ
