Sr. Quality Systems Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking a Quality Systems Supervisor to lead food safety and quality assurance operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing QA technicians, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across production and food safety systems.
This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role with direct impact on product integrity, regulatory adherence, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily activities of QA technicians to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Identify, investigate, and resolve processing issues and non-conformances
- Partner with production teams to maintain consistency in product quality and safety
- Maintain and update QA systems, procedures, and documentation
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and customer requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and efficiency
Leadership Scope
- Direct oversight of QA Technicians and Senior QA staff (up to 10 team members)
- Responsible for performance management, training, and team development

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 2–4 years of leadership experience in food safety/quality within manufacturing
- Strong expertise in:
- HACCP and food safety systems
- Pathogen control (critical in protein/ground beef environments)
- USDA / FSIS regulatory compliance
- Environmental monitoring and sanitation programs
- Documentation, traceability, and audit readiness
- HACCP and food safety systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in protein or beef processing environments
- Knowledge of microbiology and food chemistry
- Background in audits, customer engagement, and quality systems technology
- Certifications such as SQF Practitioner, HACCP, or Food Defense/Food Fraud training
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving capability
