Supply Chain Specialist
Theodore, AL
Direct Hire
$50-65k
Support the supply chain team in managing orders, tracking inventory, and coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and track shipments from factories to domestic location
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, customs paperwork, and compliance records for international shipments
- Communicate with freight forwarders and internal teams to coordinate container direct / air shipments
- Analyze transportation costs and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Prepare and update supply chain reports, including delivery timelines and cost analyses
- Support the team in resolving supply chain issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain accurate inventory records and flag potential shortages or overstock situations
- Communicate with suppliers to coordinate domestic shipments
- Help implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Assist in processing purchase orders and tracking their progress from supplier to delivery
Required Skills and Competencies
- 2+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain
- Understanding of supply chain processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills for working with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.
