Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician 1st shift

POSITION SUMMARY: Work independently and with other plant personnel. Ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Be involved with equipment installations and facility maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to the manufacturing processes by repairing industrial equipment including electrical components, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, HVAC, compressors, water systems chillers.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform Kaizen activities.
• Manage their specific department’s Inventory.
• Input work with vendors for quotes and input PR
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Aptitude for skilled trade (mechanical, electrical, systems, controls, process)

• Automotive manufacturing experience desired.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, ladder diagrams, and flow charts.
• Possess basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Possess electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Industrial welding experience a plus.
• Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
• Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with production staff.
