Chemical Coating Machine Operator

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Offline Coater Operator to join our growing team in Decatur, AL. This is a new department with state-of-the-art equipment, and we’re looking for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are open to change as we scale operations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately mix coating chemicals according to specified formulas.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust coating machines using computer interfaces.
• Test chemical mixtures and coated film for quality and consistency.
• Load mixing machines, climb stairs, and lift materials as needed.
• Input production numbers, monitor machine performance, and perform changeovers.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent production output.

• Prior experience in manufacturing or chemical handling preferred.
• Comfortable with physical labor including lifting and stair climbing.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn and operate machine software.
• Flexible with shift changes and willing to work weekends or extended hours during start-up.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Experience in chemical mixing, coating, assembly, data entry, production, inspection, and metrology.
• Proficiency in scanning, general production, chemical testing, and computer operation.

Work Environment

Work in a collaborative team structure with three operators per shift. The schedule transitions from 8-hour shifts to a 2-2-3 rotating and swing shift schedule. Be prepared for physical tasks including lifting and stair climbing. The role requires flexibility with shift changes and occasional extended hours during start-up phases.

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $42640.00/yr.
