Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current Occupational Therapy license for Alabama
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in schools, or a strong interest in pediatric/school-based practice
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans for students
• Strong communication skills to partner with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving learning environment
• NSY (Next School Year) availability is helpful

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ needs and strengths, and design occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual educational plans
• Deliver therapy services—both direct and consultative—in accordance with IEP/504 goals
• Track and document progress, adjust plans as necessary, and participate in meetings with faculty and parents
• Serve as a reliable resource for teachers and staff regarding strategies to help students achieve classroom goals
• Provide training and recommendations for accommodations, classroom modifications, and assistive technology
• Maintain accurate charts, reports, and records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
