Dedicated Personnel has immediate openings for a Manual Machinist in the Trussville area.

Minimum Years of Experience: 4 preferred
Machine foundry related tooling/components from provided drawings.

Job Responsibilities:
" Machine plates including aluminum, iron & steel.
" Machine pins to close tolerance.
" Drilling, tapping and milling.
" Maintain a clean work space.

Skills & Abilities:
" Work from provided detailed manufacturing drawings.
" Efficient in use of manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses and vertical milling machines.
" Use of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
" Ability to interact positively with co-workers.
" Safety conscious.
" Dependable. On-time. Self-starter.

Physical Demands:
" Bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving various items.
" Lifting required when deemed to be safe. Overhead crane provided for heavier items.
" Position is primarily 40 hrs./week however overtime may be required to complete assignments.
" Estimated standing time is approximately 70% during an 8-hour shift.

Equipment used:
" Drill presses
" Lathes
" Milling machine
" Handheld measuring instruments
