What You'll Do:
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location, providing a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response protocols as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Engage with staff, patients, and visitors to offer customer service and address inquiries in a professional manner.
- Assist with emergency response activities and coordinate with site personnel as needed.
- Document incidents and observations clearly and accurately according to Allied Universal guidelines.
- Follow established procedures for handling confidential information and sensitive situations within a healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
