Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our Holiday Inn/Grill 22 team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant environment, showcasing their culinary skills through menu planning and meal preparation. This role is essential in ensuring that our food safety standards are met while delivering high-quality dishes that delight our guests.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to meet the nutritional needs of all guests.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and meal preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu design is highly valued.
