Pride Health is hiring a Medical Lab Scientist to support our client’s medical facility in Birmingham, AL 35235. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Birmingham, AL 35235
Duration: 3 Months
Pay range: $34per hour - $36per hour
Schedule: Weekdays Mon - Fri 5Am After
Key Responsibilities:
To perform routine and complex laboratory tests following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
To operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionality.
To make technical decisions regarding testing and resolve problems effectively.
To prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials.
To accurately report test results in a timely manner to support quality patient care.
You will have to document and perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
To maintain adequate inventory of bench supplies and replenish as needed.
To assist with specimen processing when required.
To perform routine and complex tests across assigned disciplines in Microbiology. Certifications:
ASCP
AMT
BLS Education:
Bachelor's Degree Experience
2+ Years of Experience as a Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist.
