Our client seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Lead to manage strategic programs supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Aerospace, and Federal customers. The Senior Program Lead will serve as the primary management authority overseeing operational, strategic, and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and successful delivery of ruggedized computing, secure communication, and technology integration solutions.
The Senior Program Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to execute program components, such as system development, integration, logistics, quality assurance, and customer liaison activities. This role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to navigate complex defense acquisition environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the planning, execution, and successful delivery of assigned programs, ensuring project objectives are met on time, within budget, and aligned with customer expectations.
Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Allocate resources effectively to meet program requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between program teams and external stakeholders, including military branches, government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial aerospace partners.
Implement quality control and risk management plans to ensure program deliverables consistently meet or exceed established military and industry standards.
Develop strategic program plans, continually refining them to address evolving customer and market needs, defense priorities, and operational goals.
Monitor program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions promptly to ensure continuous alignment with strategic objectives.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of experience in senior-level program management, preferably within defense, aerospace, or federal sectors.
Demonstrated success managing complex, multidisciplinary programs involving ruggedized computing, secure communications, or related technologies.
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills with experience interacting at senior military and government levels.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
Proficiency in managing federal contracts, defense acquisition processes, and familiarity with DoD procurement guidelines.
Strategic thinking capability with proven ability to convert strategic goals into actionable plans.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, supported by a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and capable of effectively managing communication through various digital platforms.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Advanced certifications related to defense program management, leadership, or relevant technical disciplines.
Prior experience working directly with key military stakeholders or managing prime contracts.
Knowledge of military standards and processes related to rugged computing, secure communication systems, and technology integration.
