Electrical Designer-Revit

Genesis Technical is seeking an electrical designer with heavy industrial experience for a contract-to-direct opportunity in Birmingham, AL. This position requires proficiency in Revit.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop electrical system designs for industrial engineering projects; paper mills, chemical plants, steel mills, and refinery projects
  • Create detailed layouts, sketches, and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  • Produce high-quality electronic documentation and design packages.
  • Collaborate with engineers, design leads, and cross-functional teams? disciplinary teams to coordinate complex design elements.
  • Support advanced facility projects from concept through delivery, ensuring accuracy and technical excellence.
  • Help drive consistency, quality, and innovation within our electrical design standards.
What We’re Looking For:

  • Electrical Engineering & Design

  • Experience in power distribution systems for industrial environments
  • Ability to develop motor elementaries, wiring diagrams, and construction packages
  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Instrumentation & Controls Engineering & Design

  • Experience developing P&IDs, loop sheets, and instrument specifications
  • Knowledge of valve sizing and control systems
  • Ability to produce detailed construction packages using REVIT
  • Two-year associate’s degree in a relevant field
  • Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements
  • At least 2 years of semiconductor experience
