Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work onsite at an elementary school in Prattville, AL. This contract position offers a chance to deliver inclusive educational services to support students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities within an inclusive classroom setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective integration and progress
• Monitor student performance and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching licensure required
• Experience working with inclusion caseloads preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, guidelines, and best practices
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles

Location & Schedule:

• Prattville, Alabama (onsite at elementary school)
• Contract position from ASAP through May 22, 2026
• Approximately 37.5 hours per week
