As a Security Officer Patrol Observer in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring a reliable, agile, and innovative approach while working with integrity and teamwork in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and deliveries, helping to support site access procedures and reporting concerns related to unauthorized access.
• Support the day-to-day operations of a logistics and distribution location by observing truck traffic, shipping and receiving areas, and high-activity zones for security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
