Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Neonatal Intensive Care experience to provide critical care in a supportive NICU environment. This contract position is based in Alabaster, AL, within a well-established 32-bed NICU unit serving neonates with specialized needs. The scheduled shift is nights, supporting a 3x12 hour rotation from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend coverage. Candidates must be prepared to float within their scope of practice to nearby facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU, maintaining a patient ratio of 3:1
• Utilize EMR system (Cerner) accurately to document and manage patient records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Adhere to unit protocols, maintaining patient safety and quality standards
• Flexibly float to other facilities in the local area, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Minimum 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
• Ability to maintain professional appearance; navy blue scrubs required, with natural nails only (no gel, acrylic, or embellishments)
• Willingness and ability to float within a 25-mile radius based on staffing needs
