Job Type: Full-time, Hourly

Work Location: CMC Birmingham Dental, West End, and Ensley

Purpose: The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within clinic facilities. This role ensures all patient care areas, offices, and common spaces meet established cleanliness and infection control standards to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of patient exam rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control guidelines

• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer

• Properly dispose of trash, biohazard waste, and recyclable materials following safety protocols

• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns

• Follow all organizational policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards (OSHA, HIPAA as applicable)

• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred (especially in healthcare settings)

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs

• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a healthcare environment

Work Schedule:

• Full-time; schedule to be determined (may include evenings or early mornings depending on clinic needs)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay (based on experience)
