The Operations Supervisor plays a key leadership role in our facility, working alongside the Operations Manager and other Supervisors to ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all quality and environmental standards. You’ll lead a small, dedicated crew and oversee all aspects of daily plant operations—from safety enforcement to process improvement.

Essential Functions

• Supervise daily operations to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

• Clearly communicate shift activities and performance targets.

• Enforce compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

• Support a disciplined and productive work environment through coaching and documentation.

• Serve as the first escalation point for technical or personnel issues.

• Collaborate with Maintenance on work requests and equipment status.

• Oversee process monitoring tools such as DCS, SPC, and work orders.

• Lead updates to operating procedures and drive continuous improvement.

• Coordinate safe work for internal staff and external contractors.

• Intervene immediately in any unsafe activity to protect people and the environment.

Schedule

This role follows the DuPont rotating schedule:

• 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night)

• 7 consecutive days off every month

• Predictable rotation for consistent work-life balance without sacrificing income

Qualifications

Candidates:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, Chemistry or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong leadership and team coaching abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Skilled in data analysis and computerized systems.

• Knowledge of upstream/downstream process dynamics.

• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Physical Demands

• Climb 5–10 flights of stairs and ladders multiple times daily.

• Bend, twist, squat, reach, and stand or sit for long periods.

• Lift up to 50 lbs and use tools/equipment effectively.

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Walk on gravel, asphalt, and grated surfaces.

• Communicate clearly over two-way radios.

• Wear all required PPE, including chemical suits and fall protection.
