Lead HVAC Installer

Job Location: Southside, AL

Position Overview

We are looking for a hard-working, dedicated Residential Lead HVAC Installer to join our staff. The individual in this role will be responsible for installing HVAC systems. Experience is required. We are willing to provide additional training. Applicants must be able to operate a motor vehicle and pass pre-employment drug screening.

Lead HVAC Installer Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove, replace, and safely fire up new residential HVAC systems according to specifications and code requirements.

• Modify ductwork, connect piping, and perform brazing and soldering to ensure efficient, leak-free system operation.

• Complete electrical hookups safely, verify grounding and bonding, and ensure all wiring meets NEC and manufacturer standards.

• Protect customer homes during installations by maintaining clean work areas, using floor coverings, and respecting property.

• Communicate clearly with homeowners, explaining installation steps, system operation, and maintenance recommendations.

• Collaborate with customers to determine system needs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation.

• Keep accurate records of installations and maintain tools and equipment to support efficient workflow.

Lead HVAC Installer Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC systems and installation

• EPA Universal Certification required

• Certification or associate's degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred

• Previous on the job training.

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills, ability to explain complex HVAC issues with customers in a way they understand

• Critical-thinker, problem-solver

• Must hold valid state driver's license

• Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience

• Expected hours: 40 per week (55 hours during peak season)

• Schedule: Year-round work

The compensation for this position is expected to be a range of $23.00 - $28.00 per hour. This is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
