Highlights of the Director of Engagement Position:
Coordinates all aspects of Engagement for AL, IL and Connections residents including evaluation of residents upon admission and development of personalized plan or program for successful aging in the community. Ensures residents’ satisfaction and achievement of their realistic goals. Motivates residents to function at the highest level of independence. Responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling of LEPs, MCC’s, and designated direct care staff.
The Director will also act as a subject expert and mentor to assigned PSL partner communities. Responsible for mentoring new or existing engagement personnel. Works closely with the community and regional team members to facilitate achievement of engagement goals for home and assigned communities.
Educational Requirements and Experience :
- An associate degree in nursing, health care management, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree.
- At least 1 year experience with geriatrics & or dementia care
- Certified Dementia Practitioner or eligible for certification.
- Experience with electronic records, social media platforms, use of e-mail, programs such as Word and Excel.
- Must have completed 1 year of employment with PSL to qualify for Senior role.
