Medical Front Desk Manager
POSITION TITLE: Medical Front Desk Manager
Busy medical practice in Tuscaloosa is seeking a Medical Front Desk Manager to coordinate and oversee activities of the Front Desk staff to ensure compassionate and professional care for patients, while providing effective and efficient front office workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Excellent customer services skills and professionalism is required. Capable of remaining calm and polite in pressure situations.
- Highly skilled proficiency in basic computer functions.
- Healthcare experience, billing and regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance knowledge, helpful.
- Strong customer service, problem solving, and multitasking skills are a must.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, and cash posting.
- Promote excellent customer service at all levels of the staff.
- Ensure staffing is appropriate for day-to-day operations and coordinate coverage for all sites.
- Responsible for the financial performance of the revenue cycle.
- Perform sample audits of the staff's collection of insurance information and patient demographics data.
- Ensures patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
- Communicates professionally with clinicians, nurses, administrative and billing staff, patients, and the public.
- Develops, implements, and maintains office policies and procedures. Responsible for periodic review and revision of associated policies.
- Ability to perform all duties of an ASR according to established policies and procedures.
