Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Assessment skills IV insertion skills Foley catheter insertion skills NGT placement skills Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a medical-surgical unit. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments and care. Inserting intravenous lines, Foley catheters, and nasogastric tubes will be necessary skills. The unit cares for patients with medical-surgical, oncology, neuro, and palliative needs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 6:1. The facility features 41 beds and utilizes Alaris IV pumps. The electronic medical record system is EPIC. The ideal candidate demonstrates commitment, curiosity, communication, and connection. Dress code includes navy scrubs. This role involves floating to other units as needed.
