Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing full-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling high-volume transactions. Responsibilities: - Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, coding, and payment processing. - Perform three-way matching to ensure accurate reconciliation of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents. - Process high volumes of vendor invoices efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. - Resolve discrepancies with invoices, purchase orders, and payments in a timely manner. - Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to maintain accurate financial records. - Assist in auditing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment and invoice issues. - Support the transition to new accounting systems and software as needed. - Generate reports and provide insights related to accounts payable activities. Requirements - Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role. - Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with a preference for SAP knowledge. - Strong understanding of accounts payable functions, including three-way matching and invoice reconciliation. - High-level proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Ability to process high volumes of transactions with accuracy and efficiency. - Excellent communication skills for vendor and team collaboration. - Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with auditing processes and compliance standards in the manufacturing or telecommunications industry.
