Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining metal stamping presses to produce high-quality parts that meet safety, quality, and production standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with progressive and/or transfer dies and a strong commitment to precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical and/or hydraulic stamping presses
• Install, align, and adjust dies and tooling
• Monitor press operations to ensure consistent quality and productivity
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and correct defects
• Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
• Document production and quality data accurately
• Work closely with supervisors, toolmakers, and quality personnel

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a Metal Stamping Machinist (or equivalent)
• Experience with progressive, compound, and/or transfer dies
• Knowledge of press setups, die protection systems, and feed systems
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality standards preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
