Job Title: Services Technician I
Reports To: Service Technician III - Lead

Location: Theodore, AL

Pay Rate: $ 20.00-$25.00

Services Technician I Overview

Since Frontier technologies acts as a job shop, Service Technicians perform various tasks. We are looking for mechanically inclined, problem solvers to join our team. Common projects include:

• Assembling and disassembling mechanical projects, machine components, and equipment daily.
• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance operations, preventative maintenance and upgrades on wind energy and other industrial parts.
• Repair, replace and inspect customer parts to meet customer expectations and job instructions.
• Assist paint team in sandblasting and industrial painting of components.
• Perform basic oil maintenance on 65K gearboxes
• Troubleshoot on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Grinding, sanding, hand-painting material
• Work with quality department to ensure specifications and ISO 9001 requirements are met
• Moving material throughout the facility via forklifts, pallet jacks and overhead cranes
• Packaging finished goods for shipment
• Follow Company Policies and Procedures as well as OSHA Guidelines, and use proper PPE
• Ensure the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work
• Follow work instructions throughout the process, completing assigned tasks for projects following customer, engineering and SDS specifications
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis
• Ability to work Overtime on a very short notice to meet customer demands
• Other job duties as directed by Site Manager or General Manager

Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Able to read and interpret work instructions
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Perform basic Math skills
• Able to accurately read/use a tape measure
• Basic computer skills
• Able to identify and operated basic hand tools and small power tools
• Passion for doing a job well
• A “self-motivated” team player
• Able to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditions
• Able to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easily
• Pass visual test
• Able to travel to customer sites
• Must be an insurable driver
• Must pass a background check and drug test
