Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and creating work cell layouts and flows, optimizing process utilization, and calculating manpower requirements for various programs. You will establish process steps and sequences, complete time studies, and develop assembly aids and quality control items. You will also oversee warehouse and plant layout improvements, assist in program management for packing design, and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities- Create and design work cell layouts and flows.
- Optimize process utilization for all programs.
- Calculate manpower requirements by design.
- Establish process steps and sequence of operations for all jobs and programs.
- Complete time studies for all programs.
- Develop assembly aids, fixtures, and quality control items.
- Improve warehouse and plant layouts.
- Assist program management with packing design.
- Design material and parts pull flow.
- Lead lean manufacturing and standardization activities.
- Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to enhance plant safety.
- Assist in minimizing regrind waste.
- Identify cost-efficient suppliers for plant improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum four years in Manufacturing Engineering or 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
- Technical degree required.
- Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and lean manufacturing.
- Experience with AutoCAD, process flow, and equipment installation.
- Ability to multitask and possess strong personal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, particularly for cost formulations and time study analysis.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and CAD design is a plus.
- Proficient in setting up manpower standards and work analysis.
- Experience in motion study analysis.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Anniston, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
