The Welder would perform weld repairs, operate various assembly machines, assemble, load, and move materials within the work area while ensuring quality and production requirements are met.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Inspects and identifies materials from the production line in need of repair.

· Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices.

· Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.

· Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

· Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

· Layout, fit, or connect parts to be bonded, calculating production measurements, as necessary.

· Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.

· Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.

· Understand and comply with all OSHA safety standards.

· Understand and comply with Company safety requirements.

· Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Activities

· Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

· Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.

· Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats.

· Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

· Must be a US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must have 6 months of welding experience

· Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

· The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

· The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Welding Certificate - Preferred

Disclosure: This is a temp-to-perm position. All production employees for this role must be employed through Projob (staffing agency) for a minimum of 90 days.
