A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Hazel Green, AL, serving a PreK-8th grade school within a supportive educational environment. This contract position begins ASAP or at the start of the January semester and runs through May 22, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Thursday for student sessions, with Fridays dedicated to assessments and paperwork, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with another SLP to manage and divide a caseload of approximately 58 students, including support for nine students at the primary level.
• Provide both in-person and virtual speech-language therapy services.
• Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and facilitate speech therapy sessions aligned with school policies.
• Utilize case management software, such as PowerSchool, for documentation and scheduling.
• Work with paraeducator support to facilitate student transitions to therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

• Certification as an SLP with the CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
• Active Alabama state license is required.
• Previous experience providing speech therapy services in school settings and virtually.
• Familiarity with Alabama state laws and regulations regarding speech services is highly preferred.
• Experience with IEP development and case management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a split caseload model without direct lead supervision.
