Service Technician - Birmingham, AL

We are recruiting for a Service Technician in Birmingham, AL on behalf of a leading manufacturing and distribution company serving the commercial and industrial HVAC industry. They specialize in delivering high-performance electrical controls and variable frequency drive (VFD) solutions to mission-critical environments, including healthcare, data centers, and universities. Job Requirements:

• Serve as the on-site technical authority to diagnose, trace, and repair complex issues on factory-installed control systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) up to 200 HP.
• Provide elite-level service to highly sensitive and specialized client sites, including data centers, server rooms, hospitals, universities, and government facilities.
• Utilize voltmeters, wiring diagrams, and laptop interface software to systematically isolate faults in 1.5 to 60-ton computer room units (CRAC) and commercial humidifiers.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong electrical control-savvy mindset with the ability to read complex wiring diagrams and map circuits independently.
• Proven experience troubleshooting high-capacity equipment, controllers, and VFDs.
• While a refrigeration background or standard certifications are highly preferred they are not required.
• Works well with a team.
