As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrols in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a lively retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests and tenants. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a positive atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, often by bicycle, and engage with the public, offering top-notch customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $14.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or any unusual circumstances within the location.
• Assist tenants, visitors, and staff with inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when required.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Able to ride a bike for long periods of time is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
