Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem opportunity is ideal for an experienced retail staff pharmacist interested in providing coverage at a specialty pharmacy in the Montgomery, AL area. The assignment dates are April 9, and then from April 28 through May 1, supporting a busy independent pharmacy focused on specialized medication management.
The pharmacy operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, closed on weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and support one pharmacy technician, overseeing daily workflow and tasks.
- Utilize clinical judgment to resolve medication-related issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold pharmacy operations standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama State Pharmacist license in good standing with no negative history.
- A minimum of 2 years of recent retail staff pharmacist experience, preferably within a specialty pharmacy setting.
- Ability to manage a small team efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Pioneer RX software is highly advantageous.
