A little about the job....
- Assists licensed therapists in providing respiratory care to patients, under supervision.
- Their responsibilities include performing basic respiratory treatments, assisting with diagnostic procedures, maintaining equipment, and educating patients and their families about respiratory care.
Qualifications for the job...
- High School graduate or equivalent; actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand the unique needs of different patient age groups.
- Good understanding of cardiac, neuro and respiratory anatomy and physiology acquired through a respiratory therapy program.
- Experience with EKG and will need good computer skills, medical terminology, CPR, and the ability to discern normal and abnormal pathology are required.
