Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cloud Developer Mid to support enterprise cloud development efforts in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in cloud platforms, DevSecOps automation, and cybersecurity-focused software development. This role involves building and deploying cloud-native applications, migrating legacy systems, and implementing secure and scalable cloud solutions for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
- Develop and implement automation for provisioning and managing cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
- Analyze on-premise applications and identify cloud migration, modernization, or deployment strategies.
- Develop and migrate applications into cloud environments, including debugging cloud stacks and managing platform-specific constraints.
- Establish and manage secure cloud environments, ensuring availability, uptime, and compliance.
- Recommend and implement strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and performance improvement across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- Design and develop new cloud-based applications or enhance existing ones to meet evolving mission requirements.
- Define and manage policies governing the usage and security of cloud services.
- Work independently on complex cloud software projects from architecture to implementation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud development, system integration, or related disciplines.
- Strong background in Linux-based system administration (Red Hat preferred).
- Hands-on experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure in support of cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to develop, modify, and maintain applications or utilities that support secure cloud operations.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud migration, platform optimization, and secure application delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Active Top Secret Clearance required.
Certifications:
- Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with third-party integration, legacy system enhancement, and automated operations.
- Familiarity with Splunk, Oracle/SQL-based platforms, and Python scripting.
- Working knowledge of cloud governance, security policies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF).
