Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Specialist to support our Business Office operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key financial and billing processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all areas of business operations.

Your work will directly support the financial health of the facility and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional resident care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform and oversee daily business office and financial operations
2. Ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes
3. Manage Medicaid, Medicare (Part A & B), HMO, and third-party billing
4. Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making
5. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align financial operations with resident care goals
7. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
8. Support overall business office functions and administrative operations

What We’re Looking For

1. Experience in healthcare billing and collections , preferably in long-term care
2. Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and nursing home receivables
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
4. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
9. High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Management preferred
10. Must be at least 18 years of age
11. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
