Genesis is seeking an electrical drafter for a contract-to-direct opportunity in Birmingham, AL.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of drafting or design experience, including lighting, power, auxiliary systems, building services and installation details
• 3-5 years of experience working in AutoCAD and Revit. AutoCAD experience is required ; Revit experience is preferred

Role and Responsibilities:

Be a self starter and always aware of the project schedule.

Be a team player, always willing to work with others and work extra hours to help ensure projects are completed on and in budget.

Prepare plans, layouts, detail drawings and sketches as directed by engineers and senior designers.

Have a basic understanding of building codes, including the International Building Code, National Electric Code, NFPA 72 and NFPA 101.

Conceptualize, design, and communicate successfully in CAD or Revit using company drafting standards.

Assist the engineering and design team with reviewing and checking drawings for accuracy.
