Make a meaningful difference for elementary students as a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting near Moulton, AL. This full-time contract position runs from August 12th to May 28th, offering an exciting opportunity to support young learners in grades 1 through 4. You’ll be working with an engaging caseload of 80-100 students, collaborating with educators and families to help each child reach their communication and academic goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP (CCC preferred) or SLPA
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with children in elementary grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff for integrated student support
- Maintain timely, accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Mentor and provide guidance to SLPA (if credentialed as SLP)
- Foster a supportive, positive environment that encourages student growth
