Tyler Union Maintenance Planner
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold The McWane Way principles values and behaviors.
- Adhere to safety protocols outline in the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.
- Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow ergonomic and safe lifting techniques.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities ( Other duties may be assigned.)
- Develop work plans for corrective preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Create and schedule maintenance work orders in CMMS.
- Ensure materials tools and labor are available prior to work.
- Review job plans with maintenance supervisors and crafts.
- Monitor and report on maintenance metrics (e.g. backlog schedule adherence downtime).
- Assist in root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts.
- Maintain BOMs parts lists and spare parts inventory.
- Lead planning / coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental and maintenance standards.
- Update maintenance documentation drawings procedures.
- Provide support during shutdowns outages or critical events.

Education and/or Experience
- Associate or Bachelors degree in engineering maintenance technology or industrial operations or equivalent experience.
- At least three (3) years of maintenance planning / scheduling experience (heavy manufacturing preferred).
- Experience with CMMS (SAP Maximo etc.).
- Good analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret mechanical / electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of reliability practices predictive maintenance.
- Familiarity with maintenance KPIs and metrics.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Related certification (e.g. CMRT CMRP PMP) preferred.
Physical & Cognitive Abilities
- Frequent standing walking bending and lifting.
- Primarily on-site in a foundry environment with exposure to heat noise and industrial equipment.
- Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing lifting to 50 pounds balancing walking standing stooping and handling tools and materials.
- The work environment varies from a typical office setting to a plant environment that may be hot cold dusty and noisy. It is a requirement to be in and out of the plant on a regular basis.
