Tyler Union Maintenance Planner

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold The McWane Way principles values and behaviors.

• Adhere to safety protocols outline in the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.
• Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow ergonomic and safe lifting techniques.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities ( Other duties may be assigned.)

• Develop work plans for corrective preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
• Create and schedule maintenance work orders in CMMS.
• Ensure materials tools and labor are available prior to work.
• Review job plans with maintenance supervisors and crafts.
• Monitor and report on maintenance metrics (e.g. backlog schedule adherence downtime).
• Assist in root cause analysis and reliability improvement efforts.
• Maintain BOMs parts lists and spare parts inventory.
• Lead planning / coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety environmental and maintenance standards.
• Update maintenance documentation drawings procedures.
• Provide support during shutdowns outages or critical events.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate or Bachelors degree in engineering maintenance technology or industrial operations or equivalent experience.
• At least three (3) years of maintenance planning / scheduling experience (heavy manufacturing preferred).
• Experience with CMMS (SAP Maximo etc.).
• Good analytical organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret mechanical / electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of reliability practices predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with maintenance KPIs and metrics.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Related certification (e.g. CMRT CMRP PMP) preferred.

Physical & Cognitive Abilities

• Frequent standing walking bending and lifting.
• Primarily on-site in a foundry environment with exposure to heat noise and industrial equipment.

• Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing lifting to 50 pounds balancing walking standing stooping and handling tools and materials.
• The work environment varies from a typical office setting to a plant environment that may be hot cold dusty and noisy.  It is a requirement to be in and out of the plant on a regular basis.
