Spur Staffing is looking for hard-working and punctual Substitute Pre-K OSR Aides to work in Huntsville City Schools for the SY 2025/2026 . The Substitute Pre-K OSR Aide Position will work alongside the Certified Teacher and assist in learning activities as well as classroom management. These positions will work on an as needed basis when school is in session.

The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school and Spur. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and approachable attitude, understanding the importance of supporting teachers and/or school staff in enhancing the learning environment for students. The primary duty of this position will be working alongside teachers and staff in their day-to-day activities. Candidates are expected to always represent the school and program in a positive and professional manner. Duties expected of this position are:

• Assisting in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment
• Assisting in planning and preparation for group and individual activities
• Supervising students as assigned, during instructional and non-instructional activities
• Providing individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills
• Providing enrichment and remedial assistance as required
• Assisting with testing and evaluation to determine student progress
• Participating in activities that will develop positive interaction in the instructional process
• Performing other related tasks as assigned
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.

Qualifications

• Clear State of Alabama Background Check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Required online training
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Dress Code: Business Casual Attire. No rips or tears in clothing. All clothing must be length appropriate.

Compensation

• Pay: $15.00 p/hr
• Job Type: Temporary/Part-Time
• Job Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (Shift times may vary between schools)
