We are seeking qualified candidates for a Saw Operator!
**Someone who is used to working with machines (& operated a saw or various saws preferably for metal work), can read a tape measure, and has experience operating a forklift**
Responsibilities include:
- Cutting a variety of materials into specified shapes using a band saw.
- Reading job orders for specifications, such as material, type and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
- Obtaining and transferring stock to the machine, manually or with a hoist.
- Installing saw blade and setting blade tension cutting speed for the specified operation.
- Operating and maintaining the band saw through routine preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring that the saw delivers accurate cuts by following the work order or blueprints laid out on the stock.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Familiarity machine tools and equipment
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
