Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Prattville, AL

This per diem position is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses passionate about supporting students academic, behavioral, and social development in a school environment. The role involves providing individualized support and contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom setting where each students unique needs are addressed.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social assistance under teacher supervision
• Aid students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior support plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements as needed
• Promote a respectful and safe learning environment that fosters inclusivity

Qualifications:

• Current active LPN license in Alabama
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing in accordance with district policies
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and help with lifting when necessary
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Management Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is advantageous
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative work style
